|12||UNDERSTANDING AND MANAGING VARNISH IN ROTATING EQUIPMENT - Varnish is a thin, hard, carbonaceous material which is a by-product of lubricant oxidation. It forms a layer on equipment surfaces and causes a reduction of clearances between machine components. Effects of varnish include control valve seizure, fluid flow interference and disrupted hydrodynamic film production, among others. It is generally accepted that varnish will increasingly impose a problem to rotating equipment operation, due to the need for longer operating cycles, higher capacities and extended lubricant drains.||BAKAR AGIL, Technical Advisor, CHEVRON MALAYSIA||MAIN HALL||tba|
|13||DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF ASSETS MONITORING - Digital Transformation, Industrial Internet of things (IIOT), Industry 4.0, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning. These are but some of the current trends and buzz words that is sweeping over many of our industries today. Advancement of vibration monitoring systems, solutions and products have also been keeping pace with this huge industry wave.
